Swedish Massage is the most commonly offered and best known type of massage. Your therapist uses long, smooth strokes over your body with firm but gentle pressure to improve circulation, ease muscle aches and tension, improve flexibility, and create relaxation.
Deep Tissue Massage is focused toward the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure is more concentrated and focused. Your therapist uses these techniques to release your chronic muscle tension and knots (also known as “adhesions”).
Thai Yoga Massage incorporates gentle motion, stretching, and acupressure. While you rest comfortably your therapist uses hands, feet, arms, and legs to gently stretch your muscles, circulate your joints, and stimulate energy lines. Thai Yoga Massage relaxes your body and mind, improves your flexibility and circulation, and balances your body energetically and physically.
Shiatsu Massage calms an overactive nervous system, improves your circulation, relieves your stiff muscles, and alleviates stress. Your therapist uses finger and palm pressure to open energetic meridians to improve your flow of qi (pronounced chee).
